Founded in 1965, Founders College was the very first college established at York University’s Keele Campus and ever since, we’ve proudly carried that legacy of leadership, community, and innovation. From our early days, the College’s Masters, Fellows, Students, and Student Council have played an active role in shaping the university we know today.

Our signature orange and green banner, designed by renowned Canadian artist Harold Town, represents York University as the heart of a twelve-college system.

Today, your Founders College Student Council continues that tradition of energy and engagement. We host unforgettable events, advocate for students, and build spaces where everyone feels seen and supported. Whether you're joining us for a karaoke night, a Blue Mountain trip, or an academic workshop, know that it’s powered by students, for students.
